I can make it through 2010

One week of December has already come and gone. This year has gone by extremely fast. In just a few quick weeks 2010 will be over. The first decade of the 21st century has flashed by. Ten years ago I was was 12 and living in Spokane. If you would have told me then that I'd be living in Los Angeles working at a production company I would have thought you were nuts. Well, here I am. One complete year of post-graduate life is behind me. There is a lot of excitement I'm looking forward to next year, but one can not always look forward into the future. One must remember to live in the present. I feel that is something I forgot occasionally this past year, to live in the present. Sometimes you can get caught up in awaiting future events, that you forget the world around you. This reminds of how the disciples must have felt when Jesus ascended into heaven. He said he'd be back soon, and they just stood there and stared into the sky awaiting his return. Luckily for our sake they didn't stand there for long, but quickly got to work spreading the "Good News."
The future is always and exciting and sometimes daunting place. To stare off into darkness and see hopes, dreams, and failures all at the same time can drive a man to the brink of insanity. That is why one must plan wisely for the future, but not dwell too much on it. However, you must not forget that as Christians we know the future. We know where this world is going. We know how everything is going to end. This is comforting, but only to Christians as we are on the winning team. As 2011 approaches I am reminded often to keep my intentions pure and holy. What is my purpose in life? Why am I doing the things I am doing? If I answer anything that is counter to a biblical way of life, then I am living in sin. Life is more important than a job, a career, a family, a house, a car. Life is Jesus Christ. Without, we are nothing. My prayer for the next year is that the name of Jesus is magnified throughout Los Angeles and every city more so than it has ever been before. But that prayer should be a daily prayer that we say to ourselves every day to remind us of our purpose.
Life in Los Angeles is much different that I expected. It's actually a lot of fun. But don't tell my parents that I'm having such a good time down here. ;) It could also be my personality, I tend to have a good time no matter where I am. It's just how I am. Well, its 1 in the morning and I have to go to work tomorrow. I can tell you one thing, I am ready for my holiday break this Christmas. I'm going to be home for like ten days and it's going to be awesome.
